    Urban Science is a business-solutions company focused on supporting the needs of the sales and marketing function of the automotive industry. We leverage a scientific methodology to help our client partner sell more vehicles, improve profitability and increase customer loyalty. And we do that by helping solve their toughest challenges including planning an optimal dealership network, improving individual dealer performance and efficiently converting sales leads into sales. In short, we guide business through science-and we’ve been doing this since 1977.


    The Marketing Associate will manage client events, industry and community events and sponsorships, and all corporate and local websites for Urban Science and our associated brands. Additionally, this position will assist with the development of associated advertisements, presentations and marketing materials as well as provide general external marketing support, as needed. The associate will work closely with the broader Marketing Communications team and internal Subject Matter Experts. To support these initiatives, this position will require travel throughout the year (up to 20%).

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Event Management:
    Responsible for the planning and management of global client events, industry events and sponsorships, community events and dealer show participation.

    • Develop and manage related timelines and logistics.
    • Secure and negotiate sponsorship packages, when necessary.
    • Manage all event logistics, from conception to execution.
    • Manage vendors, contracts and communications with all outside contacts, facilities and partnerships as necessary to execute event vision.
    • Coordinate support from and work with internal SMEs to develop relevant content.
    • Adhere to event budget; forecast and track expenses throughout the planning process; investigate and explain variances; expedite invoice reconciliation and payment.
    • Develop or oversee 3rd party development of promotional materials, including advertisements (print and digital), event program inserts, invitations, microsites or other supporting communication materials.
    • Develop strategies to generate event traffic and deliver our brand/strategic message.
    • Prepare a post-event report to capture best practices and return on investment.

    Website Management
    Support ongoing management and optimization of corporate and global brand websites.

    • Serve as the content administrator of global Content Management System, keeping content updated across all sites.
    • Work with internal and agency resources to ensure integrity of all websites through ongoing maintenance and support.
    • Coordinate with agency partners to track results/metrics and ongoing process improvement.
    • Stay up-to-date on website trends and explore new way to deliver our brand message.

    • Must have a baccalaureate degree with aconcentration in Marketing, Communications and/or business from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent foreign institution.
    • 2 years of related work experience required.
    • Experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite or similar) and layout required.
    • Experience using GoToMeeting, Skype for Business or similar virtual meeting tools required.
    • Familiarity and experience using website Content Management Systems (WordPress, SquareSpace).
    • Prior successful event coordination and management experience with a record of staying on time and within a defined budget.
    • Marketing experience and/or the ability to develop marketing concepts.
