Overview and Summary

Urban Science is a business-solutions company focused on supporting the needs of the sales and marketing function of the automotive industry. We leverage a scientific methodology to help our client partner sell more vehicles, improve profitability and increase customer loyalty. And we do that by helping solve their toughest challenges including planning an optimal dealership network, improving individual dealer performance and efficiently converting sales leads into sales. In short, we guide business through science-and we’ve been doing this since 1977.


The role will routinely leverage your Advanced Excel and Strong Analytical skills to maintain and update very large and extremely detailed spreadsheets. In addition you will support routine and ad hoc reporting and analysis requirements. You will gain very practical hands on experience and knowledge in this position. You will also have the opportunity to communicate and interact with a wide range of professionals at varying levels of the organization, both domestically and internationally.


Intern will work 40 hours a week during a three-month long summer internship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Your primary purpose will be to support the activities our Finance Team in a variety of focus areas.  This may include: 

  • Assisting with generation of month end journal entries, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Support 2018 budget process and related administrative duties.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting.
  • Support system implementation project.

  • Demonstrated mathematical and analytical skills.

  • Experience or demonstrated ability to support the management and analysis of large amounts of data (large Excel spreadsheets).

  • Working towards a baccalaureate degree in: finance or accounting from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent foreign institution.
  • Bilingual - Spanish, Portuguese or Chinese preferred
