  • Overview and Summary

    Manager – Network Practice for Urban Science Applications, Inc. in Herndon, Virginia.  Duties include:

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Perform services on network product areas, including supporting account growth for contracted and ad-hoc projects, responsibility for contract renewal and helping to develop new business
    2. Assisting in client project outcomes including project delivery, defining project timelines, Answer Dealer Network Planning and Performance inquiries; handle requests, utilizing MS Excel and/or Power Point or automated reports and web application development using C#, Visual Studio.NET, ASP.NET, SSIS packages and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
    3. Participate in sustainment activities for the Shared Sales and Market Analysis applications, detecting and resolving application or data problems. Laisse between client and technical staff on installations, ensuring systems are properly installed, set up, and functioning.
    4. Assist with establishing long-term business relationships with clients, provide insight to senior management in creating estimates and proposals for clients, and presenting project status updates and conclusions to client(s).
    5. Assist senior management in making recommendations to improve profitability and forecast costs by analyzing client income statements, revenues, margins, labor and profitability targets;
    6. Using dealer retail network planning processes, liaise between client and technical staff communicating and defining client’s requirements for new features, enhancements and bug fixes of the Shared Sales and Market Analysis solutions; ensure changes are properly deployed, set-up and functioning at established quality level.
    7. Guide project teams, including setting objectives and reviewing work.

    Qualifications - Education and Experience

    Position Requires: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, Computer Systems Engineering or Management Information Systems, or related degree, or foreign equivalent education, and 3 years’ experience in a software consultant or development or data analysis position.  Three years’ experience is required in all of the following:.

    1. SQL Server database design and implementation including Transact SQL, SSIS package, and writing, modifying and optimizing complex stored procedures views, scalar-valued and table-valued functions.
    2. Windows and web application development using C# and Visual Studio.NET and ASP.NET.
    3. Performing trend analyses on large datasets to identify Key Performance Indicators.
    4. Data analysis using MS Excel, including advanced text manipulation, graphing, charting, pivot tables, using functions and writing formulas including Macros.
    5. Data analysis using mathematics including linear regression and statistical modeling.
    6. Client facing experience liaising between client and technical teams for business analysis, project requirements gathering and project coordination and training clients on proprietary software solutions and processes.
    7. Working with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Access.

    Experience can be acquired concurrently.
