    OVERVIEW:
    Under direct supervision of the Financial Operations Manager, the Financial Operations Analyst will be assigned specific LAM offices and business units in the U.S. and Canada. For the assigned business units, the analyst will be responsible for all aspects of the customer experience including contract set-up, invoicing, payment applications and collections follow-up.

     

    The position will interface extensively with the Sales Operations & Contract Management Team of the Global PMO organization and will also interact directly with LAM office management and Regional Finance Managers. The analyst will work independently, and must exercise judgment and initiative. In addition, the Analyst will assist in administering the global intercompany billing process. Prepares various reports and accounting statements and account reconciliations. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Monitor new contract bookings in the U.S. & Canada and contract invoicing schedules.
    • Maintain current status (no backlog) setting up new contracts. 
    • Maintain routine contact with Global PMO Sales Operations Team regarding job code precision and setups for customer funding sources and purchase orders.
    • Access CRM database to inspect Statements of Work (SOW) and Purchase Order evidence.
    • Issue timely & accurate customer invoicing (fixed and variable) on a defined schedule.
    • Apply all customer payments (electronic and lockbox).
    • Manage customer agings and perform routine collections follow-up.
    • Process global intercompany invoicing and settle balances monthly (via cash and interco loans)
    • Generate various accounting schedules and labor reports, as requested. Develop advanced data retrieval skills.
    • Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations, as needed. 
    • Assist preparing for year-end audit and auditor requests.
    • Works with manager in completing own annual goal setting and performance review in a timely manner.
    • Works with manager to prioritize other duties as assigned.

    • MS Office: Requires Moderate to Advanced Excel skills (Pivot, vLookup, SumIf) and demonstrated knowledge for charting and graphing of data, writing formulas, utilizing functions, and filtering, sorting and formatting of data; Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook is preferred 

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
    Must possess a combination of education and experience as follows:

    • Must hold a minimum of an Associates degree with focus in accounting or finance from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent foreign institution. 
    • Prefer a Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration with focus in accounting or finance from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent foreign institution. 
    • A minimum of one year of previous work experience in business / accounting preferable.
    • Experience with an accounting system preferable.
