  • Overview and Summary

    Responsible and accountable for financial statement development, accounts and financial analysis for several offices. Monitor, record, compile, and analyze financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records. Create, prepare, and analyze reports which summarize and forecast business activity. Standardize workflows for the finance department. Interact with auditors, bankers, and other consulting professionals.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Monthly production of Management Accounts
    2. Full responsibility for the monthly close procedures and year end accounts
    3. Work in an international project driven environment focusing on project development and management with close liaison to account executives
    4. Forecast revenues and expenses down to project, team, department, office, or regional profitability
    5. Production of Budgets / Forecasts and Cashflows
    6. Contribute to and assist the local MDs with the budget and forecast development for team, department, office, and/or region
    7. Analyze, review, and advise management regarding processes and activities
    8. Ability to interact and support the European Financial Controller as well as other internal management personnel
    9. Ability to fully control the annual audit
    10. Work closely with HR to ensure the smooth running of payroll monthly
    11. Manages and motivates a team of direct reports to implement various finance projects
    12. Timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
    13. Generate month end journal entries, reports and financial statements

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsible for all aspects of supervision of selected staff, to include: recruiting and selecting, assigning and prioritizing work activities, performance management, compensation management, developing employee skills and abilities, providing career guidance, and supporting company policies and processes. 

    Qualifications - Education and Experience

    • Solid knowledge of accounting terminology and ability to understand and interpret analysis
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Experience with payroll processing
    • Able to work in a team environment
    • Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
    • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and Ideally Navision
    • Strong management / supervisory skills
    • Good written and oral communication
    • Strong experience is producing accounts and month end reports
    • Solid experience in Forecasting and Budgets
    • Strong experience of leading the year end close and audit

     

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

     

    Must possess a combination of education and experience as follows:

    • Finalist or Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
    • Minimum 6-8 years of working experience in an Accounting / Finance / Management role
