  • Overview and Summary

    The Urban Science recruiting function is in place to recruit and fill current and forecasted positions in a timely manner with highly qualified candidates that have the right education, experience, training, skills and attitude in order to meet the dynamic needs of the business.  The position of the HR Associate for Recruiting will provide full life-cycle candidate sourcing and recruiting support for various levels of technical and analytical vacancies throughout the company with a specific focus on the needs of the Mexico and Brazil offices. This person will serve as internal recruitment partner with respective client groups on all recruiting related activities. This person will also be called upon to support global recruiting initiatives, helping to support sourcing efforts for strategic searches by performing resume reviews, candidate contact, and systems administration in iCIMS, the corporate Applicant Tracking System (ATS). This position will also support other HR global tasks as assigned.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Take ownership of the full life-cycle recruiting process; including tracking and qualifying positions, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, coordinating interviews and feedback, developing and delivering offers, closing candidates, drafting new hire paperwork, and facilitating the on-boarding process.
    • Identify and use creative sourcing techniques for locating candidates; including methods such as social networking, internet research, cold calling and networking at events.
    • Screen resumes and candidates to fill openings in the Mexico and Brazil offices, as well as support for additional in the United States, and other countries as the need arises.
    • Support recruiting through the use of college and professional job fairs.  Represent Urban Science at these events with high energy and contagious enthusiasm.
    • Maintain our corporate applicant tracking system (iCIMS) by providing an ongoing staffing status and generating employment metric reports.  This includes following the documented procedures for job and offer approval, candidate tracking, providing regular status, and tracking of recruiting metrics
    • Provide extensive interaction and consistent status reporting and follow-up with hiring managers, human resource business partners, applicants and outside vendors as appropriate.
    • On an as-needed basis, provide additional support to the HR function for the Mexico office.  This would include internal communication and event planning and coordination.
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.

    • Strong knowledge of the technical job market, web-based/Internet sourcing techniques, employment policies and procedures for Mexico and Brazil
    • Maintain an exceptional customer service focus combined with exemplary follow up and follow through
    • Ability to interface and maintain effective working relationships with external candidates and individuals at all levels within the organization
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced recruiting environment
    • Career Fair/Event Planning experience is desired
    • Strong computer skills and the ability to become proficient in using our applicant tracking system (iCIMS)
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to express ideas in an articulate manner to individuals and groups
    • Work collaboratively and build consensus with individuals and/or groups within Urban Science, as well as, outside vendors
    • Ability to quickly come up to speed on the way Urban Science is structured, in order to navigate the organization through both formal and informal channels
    • Strong commitment to Urban Science's mission to provide state of the art solutions to our customers’ problems worldwide; utilizing scientific problem solving tools and computer technology driven by real-world experiences
    • Possess a can-do attitude illustrated by the ability, willingness and passion to exceed client expectations
    • English language skills are required
    • Portugeuse language skills are desired
    • Operate with a high level of integrity at all times

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Must possess a combination of education and experience as follows: 

    • Baccalaureate degree in business, human resources, psychology or other related fields from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent foreign institution
    • 3 - 5 years of previous work experience desired

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    PHR/SPHR or equivalent foreign HR certification desirable
