Overview and Summary

Position Overview: The Senior Manager will lead the Network & Dealer Performance Management Services provided to our automotive client. This influential role is focused on team management, client support & relationship building. Analytical and technical skills are required to successfully fill the role. 


Workplace flexibility has taken on a whole new meaning here at Urban Science. The requirements of each team, role and employee can look quite different. Leaders work with their teams to determine the right balance for working in-person and remotely, considering the needs of the business, our clients, cross-functional projects, individual work, and individual preference.  This role has current Hybrid Workplace flexibility. Candidate may perform most of the role remotely, however, must be available and willing to travel and work in-person in Detroit area up to once per month. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes long-term business relationships with clients, has a firm understanding of client’s business needs to provide consulting advise, to maintain high client satisfaction, upsell services and renew contracts.
  • Present results to senior leadership and support team presentations to client stakeholders
    Leads expert team that conducts market analysis, as well as audit data and processes for data quality for the assigned client. 
  • Responds to client inquiries and provide assistance as needed
  • Works with Account Manager to review income statements, revenues, margins, labor and profitability targets; assists in making recommendations to improve profitability.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of Urban Science solution and applies that knowledge to better meet client needs.
  • Serves as liaison between client and Urban Science technical staff to clearly communicate client needs and optimize usage of internal resources.
  • Assumes responsibility for project outcomes, including delivery of projects that are on time, within budget and at an exceptional level of quality.
  • Assumes responsibility for accurate and high-quality data being utilized on assigned projects.
  • Adheres to quality control standards for Urban Science and client organizations.

  • Analytical Thinking & Skills: requires the ability to understand a situation by breaking it apart into smaller pieces, experience in integrating and leveraging disparate data sources, knowledge with analytic tools and the ability to select and apply the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem
  • Software: Requires knowledge of MS Office and SQL procedures
  • Initiative: Requires the drive to go above and beyond in order to improve job results
  • Developing & Coaching: Requires the ability, desire and intent to teach and foster the development of employees by providing coaching, direction and feedback.
  • Time Management: Requires strong capability to prioritize competing demands, manage multiple concurrent tasks and run meetings on schedule
  • Project Management: Project management skills preferred, including the ability to estimate work efforts, define work plans, delegate work, monitor progress and report variances.


  • University degree required; technical degrees are strongly preferred (i.e., engineering, applied math, statistics, applied science, information systems, operations research, etc.) from an accredited college or university, or equivalent foreign institution.
  • Minimum of 8 years related work experience required, Automotive preferred
