POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Marketing Associate, you will execute event marketing strategies, customer onboarding, and retention. Responsibilities include managing industry events, sponsorships, private events, ensuring a seamless dealer onboarding experience, and designing multi-channel engagement strategies to boost retention, loyalty, and upsell opportunities.

 

Workplace flexibility has taken on a whole new meaning here at Urban Science. The requirements of each team, role and employee can look quite different. Leaders work with their teams to determine the right balance for working in-person and remotely, considering the needs of the business, our clients, cross-functional projects, individual work, and individual preference. This role is a hybrid role, with a requirement of 1 day per week in the Detroit office, with additional days as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of event logistics from conception to execution; booth set-up, giveaways, entertainment, travel/accommodations, registrations
  • Manage support services and vendors as needed to execute event vision
  • Manage budgets for programs and finalize billing payments and cross-charges as needed
  • Forecast and track expenses throughout the planning process; investigate and explain variances; expedite final invoice reconciliation & payment
  • Develop new and interesting strategies to generate event traffic and deliver our brand/strategic message, including landing pages, email campaigns, and partners with internal Communications Team to develop associated communication initiatives (internal/external)
  • For internal events, will coordinate location scouting, catering, rentals and track RSVPs
  • Working with Marketing leadership, create and manage onboarding communication materials, including welcome emails, user guides, tutorials, and educational content.
  • Manage onboarding campaigns for new launches to drive early adoption and long-term engagement via marketing automation platform (HubSpot).
  • Monitor onboarding content usage and effectiveness, making data-driven optimizations to improve adoption rates.
  • Working with the Marketing Specialist, develop collateral, tools, and communications that support engagement initiatives and can be repurposed for future programs.
  • Manage dealer and usage campaigns across dealer initiatives.
  • Work closely with internal sales teams to refine upsell and cross-sell strategies, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
  • Work with manager in completing own annual goal setting and performance review in a timely manner.
  • Work with manager to prioritize other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-3 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, customer engagement, or loyalty marketing. 
  • Background in email marketing, campaign management, and content strategy. 
  • Experience working with marketing automation tools (HubSpot preferred) and CRM platforms. 
  • Experience in design through Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud. 
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze campaign performance and optimize strategies. 
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with a collaborative approach. 
  • Previous experience in B2B marketing, SaaS, or automotive industry (preferred but not required).
